Online gaming conference plays it by the rules

SOME academics are taking the adage “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” rather seriously. Otherwise, why would they be playing games at a conference? To be fair, these people study massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs) and they will be attending the first-ever conference to be run according to the rules of such games. Starting on 29 September, the participants will be split into teams that will spend two days brainstorming and then present their ideas on how best to apply MMOGs to solve real-world problems.
